Teacher Bios
The teachers at Musician's Depot are all professional musicians and
provide the students with all the basics to play
the instrument of their choice. All of the teachers work
with all different ages, from young children through adults. Coming from a myriad of backgrounds,
these teachers are equipped to teach the music that students are
interested in while gaining solid technical foundation. Feel free to

teachers specialize in and their accomplishments in the field of
music!

Adiel Issacci has taught
Guitar, Piano, and
Bass Guitar to students of all ages.
He attended Musician's Institute, focusing on guitar and audio
engineering. He has been teaching over 4 years and his hobbies
include playing guitar, composing, recording, computers, & martial
arts. Adiel also frequently helps with the monthly Jam
Sessions. |

Alex McCormick has taught
Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Soprano,
Concert, Tenor & Baritone
Ukulele, Recorder,
Dulcimer, Recorder, and
Tinwhistle for
over
30 years. He graduated from Musician's Institute with
his focus on guitar. He has performed in local clubs
including The Classroom, has played in numerous bands, and other
local venues, & he has taught at Jasmine's Entertainment in
Arleta, CA. He teaches students of all ages,
specializing in all styles of music, focusing on teaching students
to become the player they want to be. He also helps lead
the
monthly Jam Sessions. |

Chris Roberts specializes in
Guitar, Bass Guitar,
Piano, Voice, and
Drums/Percussion instruction
& has been teaching students of all ages for over the past year & a
half. Chris was born in Hollywood, but moved to Florida when
he was 8 years old & later moved back to CA after receiving his
Bachelors of Arts in Music from University of Florida.
He also received his Certificate of Music from The Collective School
of Music & his Associate of Arts in Music from Santa Fe Community
College. Chris has recorded with several groups working
in several different genres, & was part of the University of Florida
Pit Orchestra with performances for musicals such as Cabaret,
Anything Goes, Hello Dolly, & A Funning Thing Happened On The Way To
The Forum. Chris also has taught children martial arts for 3
years. |

Dave Rosser
has taught
Guitar, Piano, and
Bass Guitar to students of all ages over 4 years.
Dave studied at Florida State University, he has recorded guitar &
bass guitar on Grammy Nominated Records, & he is a member of the
band "A Warrior Nation." Dave is able to address
any level of ability, customize a fun & challenging lesson plan for
each student, and teach different genres including rock, blues, pop,
folk, jazz & classical. Dave also helps coordinate
Rock Band rehearsals & concerts. |

Evan Mackey teaches
Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone and
Tuba.
He attended California State University—Northridge and graduated
with a Bachelor of Music Performance. He has also won
the John Phillip Sousa award, awarded by Tom Whaley, courtesy of the
Instrumentalist Magazine. Evan has been teaching
students of all ages for over 6 years, including teaching at a
Canyon High School, Burbank High School, and Mystikal Drums & Bugle
Corps. |

Genevieve Birchman
has taught
Guitar, Piano,
&
Vocals
to students of all ages for over two years. She
received her Bachelor of Music from Occidental College in Los
Angeles, CA. She has worked with all ages and is
able to teach different genres, from classical to pop, tailoring the lessons
to each individual student's needs & interests. |

Guil
Geyer specializes in
Guitar, Bass Guitar, and
Drums instruction.
Guil attended a Jazz Conservatory School in France, & Los Angeles
Music Academy, and has had years of private instruction with top
instrumentalists. He has been teaching for over 14 years
and playing for over 23 years. He is the drummer &
producer of the group Former Human Beings & also performs as a DJ in
up & coming clubs in the Los Angeles area. He has
performed in venues such as Garter, Cannibal Flower, Dragon Fly, &
Cabana Club. Guil is a studio producer and session
player, plus he does composing for tv commercials & tv shows
including work for an extreme sports tv series sponsored by Nissan.
He teaches lessons according to the students' specific goals,
teaching from different styles including classic rock, alternative,
funk, jazz, & bossa nova, & teaching the students how to play the
instrument while playing with the teacher & working on their favorite songs.
Guil also helps coordinate Rock Band rehearsals & concerts. |

Jessica Burgess
has been teaching students of all ages
Cello, Bass, Piano,
Violin, Viola,
&
Vocals, & she has
been playing for over 15 years. She received a
Musician's Award in 2005 from Cerro Coso Community College and is
classically trained, but teaches different styles & genres,
concentrating on theory, sight reading, and ear training in addition
to gearing the lessons towards what each student wants to work on. |

John Corlis
has taught
Guitar, Piano, Vocals,
&
Harmonica
to students of all ages for over 10 years. He
attended California State University--Northridge, where he received
a Bachelor of Music Degree, and he has composed scores for
many feature films. |

Jody Whitesides
specializes in
Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano
&
Voice,
having taught for over 10 years. He attended
Musician's Institute as well as Berklee College of Music in Boston,
earning both a Certificate of Completion in guitar studies as well
as a MA Alumnus in Music Theory, respectively. He teaches all levels
and styles of from beginning to advanced, he has developed a keen
interest in exploring all aspects of music creation, performance and
teaching, & he works in a variety of styles & kinds of guitars
and/or bass guitars. Jody enjoys roller-blading,
mountain biking, skiing, & other sports as well as going to live
events with friends & family. |

Kyle De Tarnowsky
has taught Flute,
Saxophone,
Oboe, &
Clarinet for
over 7 years, specializing in Classical & Jazz. Kyle received his Bachelor
of Music degree in Music Composition from Florida
State University & went on to receive his Graduate Certificate
in Scoring for Motion Pictures & Television from at UCLA.
He is also active as a pianist and conductor as well as a composer,
having written & orchestrated music for a variety of films &
television shows/specials. |

Kyna Graham
has taught
Alto, Tenor,
and
Baritone Saxophone, &
Clarinet
for over two years and has played for
over 8 years. She received musical training at Santa Ana
College and California State University-Northridge and has played
regularly with a saxophone quartet. Kyna teaches all levels
and styles of Saxophone and Clarinet, from beginning
to advanced, but specializes in Classical and Jazz. |

Natalie Faltin teaches woodwinds including
Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone,
&
Oboe, brass including
Trumpet, French Horn
& Trombone, strings including
Violin
& Cello, Piano,
Guitar,
& Percussion, specializing in
mallets. She teaches students of all ages, has been playing
for over 15 years, & she graduated from California Lutheran
University with a BA in Music Education & Performance.
Natalie says "anyone can play an instrument; you just have to find

Pauline Yi
has played Violin
for 11 years and has taught
music for over 5 years. She received a Bachelor of Arts in violin
performance from Pepperdine University. Pauline teaches all levels
of
Violin
and
Viola,
as well beginning
Piano
&
Cello. She recently
performed in the orchestra for the 50th Grammy Awards with the Foo
Fighters. Pauline has also performed at the Grammy foundation’s
Starry Night, honoring Sir George Martin, and performed with Tom
Jones & Jeff Beck. |

Rich Yodsukar has taught
Guitar, Piano, and
Bass Guitar to students of all ages
for 2 years and has played for over 22 years. He attended
California State University-Long Beach and graduated with a BA in
Recreation and Leisure studies. Throughout school he was
exposed to a variety of different musical genres from classical to
jazz to rock by performing with numerous ensembles and bands.
He is currently in the nationally touring band, Mayday! Mayday! and
he is signed to MySpace Records. He likes to incorporate
music and styles that are current within his students' lives with
traditional methodology. He encourages his students to
bring in their iPods and CD's of music they enjoy listening to, to
encourage their practicing habits. Rich has been writing
and playing music for more than 20 years and has worked with
industry professionals such as The Robbs (Cherokee Studios) and was
featured on Jim Adkins' (Jimmy Eat World) label in 2005.
In 2006, Rich won the "Best Guitarist" award at the Ritchie Valens
Battle of the Bands festival and performed the National Anthem at
the 4th of July celebration in the Los Angeles based pop/rock band,
Mayday! Mayday! (MySpace Records) and has shared the stage with
artists such as Lit, Sugarcult, and The Living End. For

Stacy McCornan
has taught

Associates of Performing Arts & Music & Audio Engineering from Citrus
College & her Bachelors of Music in Music Composition & Guitar
Performance from California State University. She works
in all different genres & enjoys sharing her passion for teaching

Thomas Lemieux specializes in
Guitar, Bass Guitar, and
Drums/Percussion.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from UCSB.
Thomas has been teaching students of all ages for over 5 years.
He works in all styles & is committed to providing a solid education
& evoking strong music appreciation in all students. He
has taught in a variety of settings including summer programs & a
non-profit children's music daycare program. He makes
the lessons well-rounded & an energetic learning experience for all
students. Thomas has an unbridled passion for sharing &
spreading an ultimate joy & love of music. |

Tyler Mays
is a percussionist who has been playing
Drums
for 11
years and teaching for over 4 years. He attended California State
University—Northridge and has studied under Aaron Smith, John Magnussen, and Larry Perpoli. Tyler teaches many styles of
percussion, including Rock Drumming, Marching Percussion,
Classical/Concert Percussion, and Latin Percussion. He
places an emphasis on reading music, technical facility, and
musicality. |
